This year’s Entertainment Committee has been working hard to mix some of our longtime favorite entertainment with a few new acts to shake things up! Bring your friends and make sure you don’t miss any of these fabulous performers!

Friday, September 16

4:45 p.m.: Parade and Opening Ceremony
Kids, parents and families can start the Fair off in style on Friday night by decorating bikes, wagons, strollers and themselves as they march in parade to open the Fair! Members of Nativity’s Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will parade from the old school entrance to the Fairgrounds accompanied by the Cretin-Derham Hall marching band. Then,we’ll have the official welcome by the Fair Chairs and Fr. Patrick followed by the national anthem contest winner singing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
6 to 10pm: 2nd Generation
Popular performers Michael Loonan and his band return for a magical night of classic 60s, 70s and 80s dance music under the St. Paul stars! Be sure to catch our student karaoke singers on stage during band breaks throughout the night!

Saturday, September 17

10:00am: Run to the Fair

10:20am: Nativity Band

Nativity’s own advanced band students play some of our favorite popular tunes.

10:45am: St. Paul Irish Dancers
Who doesn’t love seeing our local lassies dancing to festive Irish music.  It’s a wee bit of the old country!
11:30am: Juggler
Alan Johnson comedian juggler extraordinaire!  Don't miss this one man show that includes juggling, comedy and non-stop entertainment.
12:45pm: Talent Show
Move over Taylor Swift! Nativity’s got talent to spare! Come cheer on your favorite Nativity talent and be surprised at what our kids can do!
2:15 to 2:45pm: Donut Eating Contest
Kids, let’s see how fast you can really eat some donuts! Students will face off in the ultimate timed challenge to see who’s really honed their skill at Donut Sunday!
3:30 to 5pm: Last Ride Band
Welcome a great new act that will get you dancing! The Faux Play Boys play a mix of Lousiana Zydeco, Cajun and swamp pop music that will get you on your feet and out on the dance floor. Highly recommended.

Sunday, September 18

10 to 10:30: Worship Music Provided by Spiritu
Nativity’s own talented musicians, led by Amy Kuebelbeck and Michael Loonan from the 9:30/5:00 Sunday Masses, set the mood for a spirit-filled outdoor Mass.
10:30 to 11:30: Outdoor Mass

11:30 to 11:45am:  Raffle Winner and Silent Auction Teacher Drawing
          Winner Announced
Who will be this year’s big winners?  Be sure to be present.  It could be you!!
11:45 to 12:15: Catholic Trivia sponsored by St. Patrick’s Guild
Come test your Church knowledge! We’ll see how much you know about the Saints, Church history and other questions about our faith. We’ll ask the audience and maybe even try to stump a few special guests!
12:30 to 2: Show’d Up Band
Old-time string music featuring mandolinist Bob Douglas (of A Prairie Home Companion fame) and parishioner Mark Neuzil.
2:30 to 3: Minute to Win It!
See your fellow Nativity kids on stage trying to beat the clock in this wacky Nativity version of the popular TV show!  Get ready for lots of laughs and some crazy stunts. Don’t miss it!
3 to 5: Hottinger Blues Band
Always a Fair favorite, get down to electric blues from parishioners George Hottinger, Mike Cooper, Mike King along with Tony Quicksell, Tom Keyes, Mike Fish, Kevin Lahr and Dan Broos as they help us close the Fair until next year.
